As well as meeting the needs of users with latex allergies, polyurethanes deliver films with higher mechanical strength. This allows for thinner films that improve wearer comfort, temperature transmission, and signal transmission of devices without compromising protection.
Solutions for dip films and cast films to address multiple healthcare applications
Thanks to their versatile formulation, films based on Baymedix® polyurethane dispersions can be processed either as seamless films by dipping or as rollstock films by casting.
Dip films are typically used to create products such as condoms, high-end surgical glove materials, or probe cover materials directly.
Cast films are used in medical devices such as backing films for wound prevention devices or modern multi-layer wound dressings.
Baymedix® CD polyurethane dispersions for dip film applications
Baymedix® CD raw materials for seamless dipped polyurethane films offer strong mechanical properties, easy processing, and high wearer comfort and protection.
Typically used to create products such as condoms, high-end surgical glove materials, or probe cover materials directly, they can also be combined with other Baymedix® products to increase elasticity.
Elastic film processing can be done using a straight dipping or coagulated dipping process, depending on production needs.

Baymedix® polyurethane film solutions for cast films are well suited for wound care and wound prevention materials. These include backing films for wound dressings.
