NeoRez® F: The sensory differentiation
Our NeoRez® F waterborne resins are giving prints and packaging a luxury look and feel for an enhanced brand perception among consumers.
Today’s printing and packaging landscape is marked by strong visual branding. However, brand-owners are on the lookout for new ways to achieve meaningful and creative differentiation.
It is no longer merely about being able to visualize a brand, but about offering consumers a compelling sensory-rich user experience.
In addition to protective & visual functions of classic overprint varnishes (OVPs), our NeoRez® F series of haptic polymer coating resins gives packaging a sensory character and a brilliant matte deep color effect.
Paper, cardboard, plastic and all forms of packaging can be altered in order to create a “sensory link”.

How do NeoRez® F resins work?
By understanding the science of touch and the printing process, new tactile opportunities are created, i.e. via variations in stiffness and surface properties. What’s more, the color depth of printed substrates is being enhanced, creating a luxury matte, but transparent visual effect.Sensory effect coating formulations based on our NeoRez® F series are well suited for application via flexo, gravure or offset technology.
Basically, they create the right chemistry between a product and the customer’s visual impression and sense of touch.
Of all our senses, touch is the only one that is dispersed across our entire bodies yet its influence on how we appreciate the world around us is often overlooked.

What about Food Contact Compliance (FCC)?
To ensure state-of-the-art food safety of packed goods, legislation is getting stricter. However, regional frameworks differ to some extent and sometimes even contradict each other, which requires extra consideration and potentially different approaches.
We developed a new NeoRez® F series that provides even higher regulatory resilience. On the one hand, the SVHC-free production process ensures regulatory compliance* and supports more sustainable product development. On the other hand, the product configuration anticipates upcoming requirements for food contact applications.
What are the benefits of the NeoRez® F portfolio?
