In a server cooling system, air ducts help guide air from critical heat sources and keep airflow paths stable during operation. In high-density racks, internal components can be hard to inspect during routine maintenance. As advanced computing scales up, greater visibility into internal components becomes increasingly important. The challenge was to introduce transparency without compromising flame retardancy, heat resistance, impact resistance and dimensional stability for high-density servers.

To address these critical challenges and meet the high requirements, we provided Makrolon® transparent flame-retardant polycarbonate for Sugon's next generation AI servers. Its high transparency and low haze bring clearer visibility to internal components through the well-designed air ducts, making inspection and maintenance easier. The material also delivers UL 94 V-0 flame retardancy at a higher-level rating, heat resistance and impact resistance, helping the air duct stay dependable and keep servers running under continuous, high-density conditions.
