Kaynemaile architectural mesh is a patented, world-leading innovation made with Makrolon® polycarbonate, allowing for excellent design form and functionality. Kaynemaile has conducted extensive laboratory and field tests to ensure durability and strength - -all while being lightweight.
Kaynemaile’s architectural mesh technology can be seen on large-scale facades of multiple public buildings around the world to beautify exteriors and reduce solar gain. It is also used extensively for interior screening and custom decorative features.
Kaynemaile takes sustainability seriously. As the team searched for ways to reduce the carbon footprint of its architectural mesh, it was apparent an alternative material solution was needed. While the team was satisfied with the use of Makrolon® in its existing products, a replacement material would need to continue to meet the key properties and benefits offered by Makrolon®.
Makrolon® RE polycarbonate offers designers more sustainable solutions with RE8 while still maintaining traditional benefits and offering a second life to renewable materials. We look forward to seeing RE8 on spaces around the world.
