Molded flexible foam: High-quality raw materials for molded foam production
Flexible polyurethane (PU) foams can be produced in a mold to create high-quality foams with complex geometries for furniture, automotive and other applications. We offer both polyols and isocyanates as well as a number of key additives for the production of flexible molded foams.

Molded flexible PU foam is produced by dispensing the liquid reaction mixture into a mold, which determines the shape of the foamed article. For flexible molded foam, water is the most frequently used chemical blowing agent. In-mold foaming is a classic example of the discontinuous production of PU foams. Due to the wide selection of raw materials and other parameters, numerous foam properties can be tuned to meet specific requirements for the foam, including foam density, hardness and damping properties. We offer a wide variety of raw materials for the production of molded flexible foams.
Our polyols include brands such as Desmophen®, Arcol®, Acclaim®, Hyperlite®, Multranol®, Softcel® and Ultracel®. Our isocyanates are offered under the brand names Desmodur® and Mondur®. For furniture applications, we supply fully formulated PUR systems under the brand name Bayfit® and for the automotive industry our Bayfit® SA systems offer sound-absorbing properties.
