General Characterization
Mondur 582 is a low-to-medium functionality polymeric diphenylmethane diisocyanate (pMDI) with a moderately high 2,4’-MDI isomer content.
Storage Conditions
Mondur 582 polyisocyanate must be stored in tightly closed containers and protected from moisture and foreign materials. Processability of this material can be adversely affected by contamination. It will react with water to form polyureas and carbon dioxide gas, which may cause sealed containers to expand and rupture. Recommended storage temperatures are 10° to 30°C (50° to 86°F).
The shelf life is six months after receipt of material by customer, when stored in sealed original containers under conditions stated above.
