Product description
Waterborne oil-modified urethane that can be used to formulate single pack wood floor finishes and varnishes. Decovery CQ-8650 urethane crosslinks via air oxidation and requires additional drier to achieve a scuff resistant finish
Applications
Decovery CQ-8650 urethane has superior durability which allows for use on gym floors and high traffic areas. It also exhibits excellent scuff & mar resistance, scratch resistance and chemical resisitance. It enhances the wood tone with low tannin pull and provides a rich wood appearance comparable to that of solventborne OMUs. Decovery CQ-8650 urethane requires the addition of coalescent for good film formation (e.g. PnB for fast dry coatings, DPM/DPnB are also compatible.Propylene Glycol is needed for freeze/thaw stability.). 2% Borchi Oxy-Coat 1101 drier is required for full performance properties.

Solubility / thinnability
Decovery CQ-8650 urethane can be thinned with water
Storage
The resin should be stored indoors in original, unopened and undamaged container in a dry place at storage temperature between 5- 40 °C. Exposure to direct sunlight should be avoided.
Storage time
Decovery CQ-8650 urethane has a storage period of 6 months following the day of shipment, provided the material is stored in sealed original containers at the recommended storage conditions. The lapse of the storage period does not necessarily mean that the product no longer meets specifications. However, prior to using the product, Covestro recommends to test the product to confirm if it still meets the specifications. Covestro does not make any representation regarding the product after the lapse of the storage period and Covestro shall not be responsible or liable in any way for the product failing to meet specifications after the lapse of the storage period.
