Whether you manufacture ski goggles, diving goggles, or stylish sunglasses, our Makrolon® polycarbonate offers the necessary optical properties, light weight and comfort required to make quality products. Its high mechanical strength and toughness also protects against eye injury. Functional coatings, such as anti-fog and polarization films, can be easily combined with the polycarbonate for added comfort and protection. Specialized Makrolon® grades can also provide ultraviolet protection and transmission rates of > 89 percent at 1 mm wall thickness. In the case of wearables, the tough chemical- and sweat-resistant Desmopan® product range is perfectly suited to creating flexible, colorful products such as fitness trackers and smart watches.
