Take your auto interior designs in a new direction with coated textiles
Empowering performance for modern auto interiors
When it comes to designing auto interiors, properties such as durability, consistent material quality, and a pleasant look and feel are crucial for choosing the right material. Furthermore, the materials must be low VOC and comply with applicable guidelines as well as ideally improving the sustainability profile.
With our INSQIN® waterborne PU textile coatings technology, automotive OEMs and their tiers can achieve all this.
INSQIN® enables flexible, adaptable and durable materials that offer premium haptics with leather-like properties and create inspiration for material applications even in the thinnest layer.
Why water-based polyurethane synthetics are a great choice for your designs
Drivers today increasingly want an intelligent, enjoyable and healthy in-car experience. This leads to an increasing demand for smart, functional and attractive interior design. Our Impranil® and Imprafix® product range which falls under INSQIN® technology offers diverse design possibilities and consistent qualities that are sought by both automakers and drivers. These waterborne PUs are light weight, low odor, and can be incorporated into innovative interior designs and integrated with the latest technical equipment. From high-quality microfiber surfaces to leather-like translucent, backlit and functional design elements: our high-tech polymers combine comfort with functionality, enabling the materials to be used for diverse applications in seats, door panels, headliners and more.
Thanks to their excellent material properties and functionality, our waterborne polyurethane synthetics meet the requirements of demanding applications in automotive interiors.
How waterborne textile coatings can contribute to reducing your product carbon footprint
INSQIN® textile coatings can be produced at state-of-the-art facilities that do not use solvents, for a lower VOC impact on the environment. To reduce the product carbon footprint, conventional Impranil® product grades can be easily replaced with partially bio-based or mass balanced Impranil® CQ variants. These contain carbon contents up to 67%* while being incorporated into the coating formulation without major disruption to the production process.
