Bufferlite®
Bufferlite® products enable upjacketing optical fiber to 400μm and 900μm via fast, one-step processing on a slightly modified ultraviolet (UV) coloring line. These materials offer an excellent strip performance allowing for reduced termination times.
Bufferlite® product line offers both low and medium modulus matrix materials used for tight buffering fiber up to 400-900 microns. Our products are formulated for excellent strip and stability.

Bufferlite® DU-1002
Bufferlite™ DU-1002 is a soft, flexible product used for the inner layer for tight buffer applications. This material can be used to buffer fiber up to 500 microns and allows for an overcoat with a tough UV or thermoplastic outer layer.

- Fast cure Can be processed at more than 600 meters per minute with minimal attenuation and can be applied using a standard UV inking line that has been converted to perform upjacketing.
- Excellent Processability Bufferlite clear inner buffers are soft, flexible materials that can be used to upjacket fiber up to 500 microns. Bufferlite clear outer buffers are materials that can be used to upjacket fibers directly to 900 microns at line speeds of more than 600 meters per minute. Colored fibers can be easily identified through these optically clear coatings.
