Product description
Crelan UI, Flakes is a blocked cycloaliphatic polyisocyanate.It is suitable as a hardener for polyurethane powder coatings.
Applications
Coatings based on Crelan UI, Flakes are characterized by their excellent flow properties and high gloss values. Depending on the polyester used, excellent gloss retention and chalking resistance in outdoor weathering can be obtained. As powder coatings based on Crelan UI, Flakes also provide good corrosion protection properties, they are ideal for use in outdoor applications. Crelan UI, Flakes is a hardener for hydroxyl-bearing polyesters. A NCO : OH ratio of 1.0 is recommended for optimum film properties. Slight undercrosslinking (NCO : OH ratio = 0.9) is possible depending on the co-reactants used and the film properties required. Overcrosslinking produces no advantages. As with any product, use of Crelan UI, Flakes in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability.Stoving conditions: 15 min. at 180 °C 10 min. at 200 °C

Storage
Crelan UI, Flakes should be stored in tightly sealed original containers and protected from moisture, heat, and foreign materials. The product is sensitive to moisture. Storage at higher temperatures will result in agglomeration of the product. This agglomeration is reversible by mechanical stress without adversely affecting the quality of the product. Recommended storage temperature is -5 to 40°C.
Storage time
Crelan UI, Flakes has a shelf life of twelve months from date of receipt at customer, provided the material is stored in sealed original containers at the recommended storage temperature.
