Storage Conditions
Mondur MR isocyanate must be stored in tightly closed containers and protected from contamination with moisture and foreign materials. It will react with water to form ureas and liberate carbon dioxide gas, which may cause sealed containers to expand and rupture. Storage temperatures should be maintained between 10° and 30°C (50° and 86°F).
Baytherm 2034 is hygroscopic and may absorb water. Containers should be kept tightly closed and protected from heat, moisture, and foreign materials, which can adversely affect processing. Due to the relatively low boiling point of the blowing agent, containers may become pressurized. It is recommended that such containers be cooled to below 60°F before opening. Open the container slowly to relieve possible excess pressure. Avoid contact with skin and eyes as well as breathing vapors if generated. Storage temperatures should be maintained between 10° and 20°C (50° and 68°F) within an appropriate pressure rated vessel.
