General Characterization
Bayfill® 53IF33M is a polyurethane semirigid foam system used in the production of soft-touch panels, such as automotive instrument panels, door trim, and center consoles. The foam system is supplied as Two reactive liquid components. Component A is a polymeric diphenyl methane diisocyanate (PMDI) and Component B is a formulated polyether polyol system.
As with any product, use of Bayfill® 53IF33M in any application must be tested (including field testing etc.) in advance by the user to determine suitability.

Storage Conditions
Component A- Component A (PMDI isocyanate) should be stored in tightly closed containers and protected from contamination with moisture and foreign materials, which can adversely affect processing. It will react slowly with water to form ureas and CO2 gas, which may cause sealed containers to expand and rupture. Storage should be maintained at temperatures between 18° and 30° C(64° and 86°F).
Component B – Component B (polyol system) is slightly hygroscopic and may absorb water. Containers should be kept tightly closed and protected from contamination with moisture and foreign materials, which can adversley affect processing. Storage temperature should be in the range of 15° and 38° (59° - 100°F).
Note: This polyol system will separate into phases without agitation. Therefore, it is important to mix it thoroughly prior to and during its use.
