ACC OSHA Alliance moves to Ambassador Status

Pittsburgh, PA, April 14, 2026 — The ACC OSHA Alliance has been elevated to an Ambassadorship status, marking a significant milestone in workplace safety collaboration. The Alliance started nine years ago in 2017, was renewed in 2020, and has now crossed over to Ambassador status. The new Ambassadorship has no end date and will remain in effect as long as both parties continue working cooperatively in good faith.

This voluntary cross-collaboration is designed to focus on the continued safe use and handling of diisocyanates in the polyurethane value chain. Success over the last nine years includes the development of several guidance documents (for medical surveillance and automotive refinish personal protective equipment) and promotion of OSHA initiatives and technical collaboration (ACC-OSHA Alliance - American Chemistry Council).

Continuation of this partnership allows the polyurethane industry to provide guidance and access to training resources that will further protect the health and safety of workers.
