Pittsburgh, PA, September 16, 2020 — The ACC OSHA Alliance has been officially renewed for an additional five years. This voluntary Alliance is designed to focus on the continued safe use and handling of diisocyanates in the polyurethane value chain. Under the initial 2-year Alliance, three guidance documents were developed: General Personal Protective Equipment Recommendations for Automotive Refinish Coating Applications; Medical Screening and Surveillance For Workers Potentially Exposed to Diisocyanates: A Guide for Workers and Medical Screening, and Surveillance For Workers Potentially Exposed to Diisocyanates: A Guide for the Employer. These documents are available on the ACC Alliance website.
Extension of this Alliance by way of ACC/CPI allows the polyurethane industry to provide guidance and access to training resources that will further protect the health and safety of workers. This is accomplished by providing information to occupational physicians, stakeholders and others in the polyurethanes value chain.
