Applications
Production of high-grade polyurethane elastomers with Desmodur® PC-N and Baytec® XL B.
Baytec® VP.PU 0352A is a formulation based on polyester polyols and auxiliaries. The product is a solid, white to light-yellow substance at room temperature and an opaque liquid at temperatures above 50°C. Baytec® VP.PU 0352A is used to produce Baytec® Q, a polyurethane elastomer.
Form supplied
Baytec® VP.PU 0352A is solid at room temperature and must be melted before processing.Prior to heating, the screw top of the container should be loosened sufficiently to prevent any build-up of pressure.It takes about 15 hours in a circulating air oven at 100 °C to melt the contents of a 60 kg container and 24 hours at approx. 100 °C for a 200 kg container. Partial separation may occur during melting, so careful homogenization is required before removing any of the product.
Sampling
Before taking samples, the product should be heated to approx. 60 °C and homogenized by stirring. Moisture ingress should be avoided when sampling.

Storage
- Storage in original sealed Covestro container. - Recommended storage temperature: < 30 °C. - Protect from moisture, heat and foreign material. General information: Baytec® VP.PU 0352A is hygroscopic. The ingress of moisture must be avoided. The product can be damaged by prolonged exposure to moisture.
Storage time
Covestro represents that, for a period of twelve months following the day of shipment as stated in the respective transport documents, the product will meet the specifications or values set forth in section "specifications or characteristic data" above, what ever is applicable, provided that the product is stored in full compliance with the storage conditions set forth in and referenced under section "storage" above and is otherwise handled appropriately.The lapse of the twelve months period does not necessarily mean that the product no longer meets specifications or the set values. However, prior to using said product, Covestro recommends to test such a product if it still meets the specifications or the set values. Covestro does not make any representation regarding the product after the lapse of the twelve months period and Covestro shall not be responsible or liable in any way for the product failing to meet specifications or the set values after the lapse of the twelve months period.
