Determining emissions released into the environment from manufacturing operations is important for regulatory compliance purposes and environmental sustainability.
When emissions measurements or estimates are required for compliance (e.g. control, recordkeeping, reporting, permits), it is highly recommended that the methods used are approved/recommended by appropriate regulatory authorities.
This section of the Covestro LLC product stewardship site describes some typical methods used to determine manufacturing emissions and also provides links to tools and resources available to help make these determinations. The guidance in this section is not all inclusive. Resources described are primarily relevant to customers with manufacturing plants in the USA.
