Baydur 486 is a modified polymeric diphenylmethane polyisocyanate.
Applications
Baydur 486 polyisocyanate is used for semi-rigid foams, elastomers, coatings and adhesives. As with any product, use of Baydur 486 in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability.

Storage
Baydur 486 polyisocyanate must be stored in tightly closed containers and protected from contamination with moisture and foreign materials, which can adversely affect processing. It will react with water to form ureas and carbon dioxide gas, which may cause sealed containers to expand and rupture. Recommended storage temperatures are 18° to 30°C (64° to 86°F). The shelf life is six months after receipt of material by customer, when stored in sealed original containers under conditions stated above.
