Additive VP.PU 49WB81 is a polyether-containing additive.
Applications
Additive VP.PU 49WB81 is used for adjusting the slow-recovery behavior of viscoelastic foam grades. When compared to Additive VP.PU 49WB80, Additive VP.PU 49WB81 allows for the production of foams with higher air permeability.
Sampling
Moisture access must be prevented when taking product samples.

Storage
Recommended storage temperature (°C): 10 - 35.Partially used containers should be tightly resealed due to the hygroscopic nature of the product.Covestro represents that, for a period of 6 months following the day ofshipment as stated in the respective delivery documents, the product will meetthe values set forth in section "specification" above provided that the product isstored in full compliance with the storage conditions and is otherwise handledappropriately. The lapse of this period does not necessarily mean that theproduct nolonger meets specifications. However, prior to using said product, Covestrorecommends to test such a product if it still meets the specifications. Covestrodoes not make any representation regarding the product after the period andCovestro shall not be responsible or liable in any way for the product failing tomeet specifications after the period.
Processing
Additive VP.PU 49WB81 is used for modifying the slow-recovery properties of viscoelastic foam qualities based on e. g. Desmophen® VP.PU 24WB03.Depending on the formulation the recommended amount ranges from 2 - 8 p.b.w. The hydroxyl value has to be taken into consideration.Normally Additive VP.PU 49WB81 should be metered separately by suitable pumps (ceramic pumps or externally lubricated pumps).Otherwise the product should be fed in together with the activator.Recommended temperature for processing (°C): 20 - 25.
