Resin Products for 1K One-Shot Matte Thermosetting Powder Coating

The new industrial OSM grade Uralac® OSM ZW20128P & ZW20129P and the new super durable OSM grade Uralac® ZW20089P & ZW20060P enable a step change in performance for OSM matte powder coatings for industrial  & super durable applications, delivering several important user advantages. In particular, unlike other commercially available OSM low-gloss powder coating solutions, which usually offer cure temperatures of 200°C, Covestro newly launched Uralac® OSM system can be cured for 15 minutes at 180°C, enabling a lower manufacturing carbon footprint.

In addition, the new Uralac® OSM resins successfully tackles the common drawback of poor reproducibility for OSM matte powder coating solutions. With the new Uralac® OSM resins, manufacturers can more easily reproduce the same matte coating finish. Finally, the new Uralac® OSM HAA system also enables lower crosslinker levels than other current OSM alternative systems, driving the cost-effectiveness of matte powder coating solutions.

The resin products mentioned above are associated with the issued patents (legal status as on 14-06-2024): i) EP 3762462 B1, ii) US 11,807,781 B2 and iii) ZL 201980017450.2 (patent application publication No.: CN 111868186 A, all of which are stemming from the international patent application WO 2019/170854 A1 and are directed to one-component (1K) thermosetting powder coating compositions. The purchase of these resin products are accompanied by a non-assert, which means that under the conditions mentioned in a separate letter as indicated below, your company is allowed to work under the patents mentioned above. This non assert is free of any charge, only valid in relation to the quantities of resin products mentioned purchased by you from Covestro and further conditioned as explained in a letter (internal reference RP-1K-OSM-HAA) which is accessible via the download.
