Mondur 1417 is a modified polymeric diphenylmethane diisocyanate.
Applications
Mondur 1417 diisocyanate is used in combination with high molecular polyether polyols in the manufacture of flexible elastomers, and specialty semi-flex foams. As with any product, use of Mondur 1417 in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability.

Storage
Mondur 1417 isocyanate must be stored in tightly closed containers and protected from contamination with moisture and foreign materials, which can adversely affect processing. It will react with water to form ureas and carbon dioxide gas, which may cause sealed containers to expand and rupture. Recommended storage temperatures are 24° to 30°C (75° to 86°F). The shelf life is six months after receipt of material by customer, when stored in sealed original containers under conditions stated above.
