- Excellent gloss retention and chalking resistance in outdoor weathering
- Corrosion resistance
Storage
Crelan NW 5 should be stored in tightly sealed original containers and protected from moisture, heat, and foreign materials. The product is sensitive to moisture. Storage at higher temperatures will result in agglomeration of the product. This agglomeration is reversible by mechanical stress without adversely affecting the quality of the product. Recommended storage temperature is -5º-40ºC.
Storage time
Crelan NW 5 has a shelf life of twelve months from date of receipt at customer, provided the material is stored in sealed original containers at the recommended storage temperature.
Processing
Crelan® NW-5 is primarily used to cure hydroxyl functional polyesters and acrylic resins
An OH : NCO stoichiometric ratio (1:1) is recommended to produce optimum coating properties.Slight undercrosslinking (OH/NCO ratio 1:1.1) is possible depending on the co-reactants used and the film properties required. Overcrosslinking produces no advantages.
