Day 1
Productive and more sustainable solutions for industrial metal
Industrial Metal coatings require efficiency, compliance, and sustainability. Our solutions include Direct-to-Metal acrylic dispersions, modified high solids acrylics, and polyaspartics, which can be combined with our partly bio-based polyisocyanate crosslinkers to further reduce the carbon footprint.
High-performance, UV-curable dispersion to be used as such or as a booster
The high-performance UV-curable polyurethane dispersion Bayhydrol® UV 2901 from Covestro can be used either as a standalone resin or as a booster to enhance the properties of other physical drying dispersions, i.e. acrylics, or other UV-curable dispersions. It has no physical drying and shows fast water release and high reactivity. It is designed to improve chemical resistance, hardness, blocking and scratch resistance.

We present a product portfolio and recent developments in dispersion coating resins offering barriers against water, fat/grease/oil and moisture, supporting a transition to recyclable functional food packaging. We also discuss the incorporation of bio-based content into these materials as a route to reducing raw material carbon footprints.
