Baycusan® film formers supply the raw materials for advanced hair care and styling formulations. Thanks to their biodegradable and bio-based polymers, products that rely on our ingredients are also gentle on the environment. Baycusan® C 1008, C 1001 and C 1010, and our new bio-based film former Baycusan® eco E 1000 can be used in a wide range of products, from styling gels and creams to leave-in sprays and conditioners. Baycusan® eco E 1000, Covestro’s new bio-based film former, offers flexible hold, frizz control and excellent straightening properties. Besides these benefits, this naturally derived, water-based polymer gives hair a natural, non-tacky feel with no flaking. Suitable for products such as aerosol and non-aerosol hairsprays, creams, lotions and leave-in conditioners.

Baycusan® C 1010 enables advanced hair styling formulations that combine a strong hold with a natural, non-tacky feel. This film former is suitable for use in hairsprays (aerosol and non-aerosol), gels, mousses, pomades, pastes, waxes and creams, for long-lasting styles that can easily handle humidity.
Hair care: Excellent curl definition for radiant locks & heat protection for straightened hair
Our innovative film-former Baycusan® C 1008 lends superior protection by shielding hair against high temperatures − even up to 270 °C − and imparts excellent straightening properties. Suitable for products such as aerosol and non-aerosol hairsprays, creams, lotions and leave-in conditioners. Plus, Baycusan® C 1008 offers 24h frizz control for bouncy, natural curls.
