General Characterization

Desmodur PS 80 is a product based on diphenylmethane-4,4'-diisocyanate and is liquid at room temperature.
It is generally used to produce polyurethane foam for the production of furniture.

Storage Conditions

Recommended storage temperature in the liquid state 20 - 25 °C
Stability: 6 months
If the product is found to be in a solid or pastelike (partially crystallised) state on delivery, or has become solid as a result of intermediate storage at too low a temperature, it sould be remelted by heating to a temperature of 60 - 70 °C for maximum 24 hours.
It is important to ensure that the entire contents of the container are melted and homogenized.
Storage in a crystallised state for only a short time will have no appreciable effect on the quality of Desmodur, even if turbidity is apparent.

Sampling

Moisture access should be prevented when taking product samples.
